Deschutes River

Learn how we’re working with local Tribes to generate hydropower as we restore fish to the Deschutes.

In the Deschutes River Basin, we work with the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation of Oregon to provide clean, emissions-free hydropower – enough to power more than 150,000 homes.

But that’s not all. We have another important set of goals: achieve long-term sustainability for the salmon and steelhead populations in the Upper and Lower Deschutes, help restore the regional watershed and contribute to the local economy.
